FIXED vs. GROWTH Mindset As A Mature Student.
Should grade 12 University level English be a requirement for entry into all university programs? I honestly don't know what I think about that. for myself personally, If I said No, I do not think it should be a requirement. That would be coming from a place of fear and frustration. Possibly my lack of wanting to put in the extra work as a stepping stone to get to where I want to go, which is university. My Fixed mindset here would be that I am avoiding challenges, wanting to give up because this all feels hard and like being on a conveyer belt. Being removed from the school system for over 15 years, I don't know if ENG4U prepares me for university any more then the fact that I've already completed high school. Do the demands of university need the framework that grade 12 University English has to offer? I don't know.
